The Tubes are all of that at once: a festive light installation, a gigantic musical instrument, a wall of sound, and a giant projection screen.
7 gigantic tubes, thousands of watts of lights, decibels of music and sound, cascades and sequences of video images for a wild crowd, make up the multimedia experience Les Tubes.
First installation: Sainte-Agathe
The host, commander of the multimedia vessel, is assisted by 2 VJs, 1 DJ, and 1 LX. This brigade of sensations galvanizes the crowd by pushing the instrument to its limit, propelling its music and projecting its images and lighting through all its pores, in all directions; at times euphoric, at times calmer, always set to the rhythm of its own moods and the movements of the crowd.
Second installation: Montreal
On the occasion of the 16th edition of the Montréal en Lumière Festival, 7 tubes were deployed around the perimeter of the performance area and the Bell stage. These structures act as multimedia scenography and create a massive broadcast screen. During performances, cameras broadcast shots of the artists along the entire length of the largest tube, which stands 15 meters high.
