“Creativity has always been and will always be born from the song of the birds, the earth, the sky, the water, the mountains, the prairie, the animals, and the people.” — Alex Janvier
Immerse yourself in a vibrant universe of flowing colors, connecting our spirits to the cosmos and the whole of creation through the art of the late Alex Janvier (1935–2024). A pioneering figure of contemporary Indigenous art, Janvier developed a unique visual language free from the aesthetic constraints of traditional galleries. True to his heritage and artistic journey, Soul Symphony – The Art of Alex Janvier frees his work so that it unfolds and envelops the audience in a spectacular 360-degree immersive dome projection. Through an immersive narrative, movement, nature, art, and boundless imagination come together, accompanied by previously unreleased recordings of the great painter's voice. Hailing from the Cold Lake First Nations in Treaty 6 territory, Janvier's work has always carried the perspective of a Denesuline man, reflecting his experiences, culture, and spirituality. His words and art have touched audiences around the world, reminding us that we all belong to this planet and to one another.
