It’s a 5-minute architectural projection featuring Plink, a little goldfish. This fantastic tale was tailor-made for the StaroRiga festival and inspired by the singing revolution in La Laitonie in 1988.

Synopsis

The little goldfish Plink plays in the depths of the ocean. Together with his community, he has learned to master the art of making music with unusual instruments made from objects found at the bottom of the ocean. One day, a heartless developer attacks his community to plunder their resources. How will they react to preserve their little underwater land? How will the power of sound become their most precious weapon?

Fish band was created for and with the participation of Staro Riga, the Festival of Lights in Riga (Latvia), in 2014. It has since been presented in 2017 at Illuminart on the Cepeg in Old Montreal. It’s a short film that’s at once highly poetic, gentle, engaging and family-friendly.
