PoP! Culture bursts out

PoP! is an interactive installation made from over 200 recycled pallets that houses 6 theaters telling the story of the popcorn growing cycle: from the soil to the transformation.
Of all the mysteries that permeate our lives, popcorn is undoubtedly one of those that concerns us the least. The PoP project aims to highlight Quebec's agri-food industry. Designed for the 2023 and 2024 Saint-Hyacinthe Agricultural Fair, our intention was to illustrate, in a fun and interactive way, all the natural and industrial processes involved in bringing corn from the field to our bowl. We therefore proposed a scenography made up of transport pallets, directly echoing the agricultural environment, adorned with vegetation, inviting visitors to wander along either side of a curved wall about 8’ high. Embedded inside these pallets are 6 "theaters". These displays, each crafted differently (micro mapping, mini-sets, LED screen, etc.), reveal the 6 stages from the soil to our bag of popcorn.
